Several grants, including two from the National Park Service and one from Hometown Indiana Historic Preservation and Build Indiana, corporations, trade unions, and the community, have also provided monies for restoration work. Restoration projects completed to date are:
Reconstruct the roof of the house and jail wing
Repair and tuck point the exterior brick of the house and jail wing
Replace mansard slate roof on the residence
Repair the cupolas and the skylights on the jail
Replace copper gutters of the jail
Reconstruct the wooden front porch of the residence
Paint analysis of relevant surfaces of residence exterior and interior woodwork of the first floor
Reglaze residence
Reconstruct entry platform to the jail
Restored Jail Office

Restored main jail stairwell
Restored second floor cellblock
Refinished the first floor rooms of the residence including walls, wood trim and flooring
Restoration of two first floor bathrooms
Refinished house entrance vestibule, hall and main staircase
Restoration of mechanical heating hydronic system in residence, booking and kitchen of the jail first floor

Plaster skim coat, a fresh coat of paint for the walls and ceilings and the floors refinished in 2011

The parlor just recently had the original french doors reattached
