Tour the House and Jail
Visit the Old Sheriff's House and take a walk back in time.
Tours are offered on Saturdays and Thursdays from early May through late September or by your special request with reasonable notice of at least 5 business days, and Foundation approval. Hours of operation are listed on the 'HOME' page.
Our tour guides will take you on an interactive journey through time as you make your way from the sheriff's residence to the workings of the jail and public enemy number one's cell.

Please keep in mind that construction on this complex took place between 1882 and 1928 well before the modern era of concern for accessibility of less abled citizens. At this time the complex is not ADA accessible. This is a walking tour which involves climbing several staircases. Although people with disabilities have taken our tour, it is not recommended for individuals who have difficulty walking.
